I said YES!

I AM ENGAGED, to be married to the man of my dreams. It is hard to put into words how amazing my engagement was, but I'm going to give it a shot. To start off, Cody spent the entire month of May in California with his company, and flew me out to San Francisco for a little vacation on his final weekend on the west coast. On Friday, I knew we were heading out to Napa Valley, but wasn't sure exactly what wineries we were going to because Cody said that he wanted to do all the planning for this trip. So we called for our car, got dressed, and got on the road. Cody didn't tell me where we were going to whole car ride until we pulled into the parking lot.... Castello di Amorosa. This winery is a castle... yes, literally a castle... a traditionally designed and built castle with underground tunnels, dungeons, and torture chambers all while being a fully-functioning Napa Valley wine producer.

Towards the end of our winery tour, during the tasting portion, a guy (Jose) from the hospitality department walked up to our group and announced Cody and I had "won" an extended tour of the castle after we finished out tasting! So we finished up our last glass, and followed Jose up to the North Tower, which just happened to be the tallest tower at the castle with spectacular views of Napa's vineyards for miles. We walked up four flights of stairs to get to the top of the tower were a table was setup with a bottle of wine, and plate of fruit and cheese was waiting for us. All I remember from that point on was watching Cody drop down on one knee, and say "Alexandra Marie Young, will you marry me?"

And I said yes.

Easter

The best thing the Easter bunny could have brought me this year was my boyfriend. He recently moved to Atlanta for work, and long distance really is not wonderful! We are making the best of it and see each other as often as we can. Easter marks the end of my spring break and it is back to reality tomorrow when I have to go back to work. This dress is one of the most comfortable dresses I own. I bought it because I think that lace is so flattering on everyone including myself.  The best part of the dress is the scallop detail at the bottom.
